A new speedy, with roses this time

Some updates since I do not feel energetic enough for an actual post:

  • Never thought I would ever say this but riding was a bad idea today. It was smart enough not to go yesterday but today I also felt out of it. Did not feel like I had the strength to stay on, and the horses seemed to be scared. As a result, I got incredibly nervous and timid… and did not feel like doing anything at all. At least I cantered my trainer’s pony for a lap or so and got nervous because he is fast. This is puzzling to me because I used to canter him even faster… bareback. Do you guys think I’ll ever get out of this slump?
  • I have a Blackberry Bold! I am one of those people that totally resisted the idea of owning a “smart phone” and always said that I did not need the internet at my disposal every minute of every day… but now my blackberry is attached to my hand 24/7.
  • I’ve been in bed for two days. Except for when I was attending some functions at night in Dubai. I guess what happened was I’ve been asleep, then I got up early enough to do my hair and whatnot, went to the first function, came back and slept for another day then got up again only early enough to get ready and attended the second. I feel so out of it still but I’m glad I did this. Staying at home like that would probably have ruined me for good.
  • Oh and by the way, I’ve been out of it because I had my wisdom tooth “dug out” (as El Hazard ever so casually puts it lol). Thanks for dropping by on Thursday, EH. It was lovely to see you and I hope we can have a proper get together sometime soon! As for my little adventure, even though I’ve been light-headed this whole time… I feel rather lucky. I heard of some people that could not even eat after such a procedure, I’ve really been blessed. But I think I’ll stop taking pain-killers for now.
  • On a different note, my first semester of this program is FINALLY over. I wanted to write something a bit more elaborate on this but… maybe some other time.
  • Breakfast at Paul’s just as it opened.

    The I’ve-Been-Tagged Post

Anne-girl tagged me! This might bring me out of my slumber. I am supposed to post 10 honest things about myself.

10 – The past few weeks have been insane. Although my scheduled class-time is four days a week, about three or four hours each day, I’ve been going to school at 12 and leaving after 8 on some days. I am busier than I was when I was studying for my IT degree. But you know what? It makes me feel alive and content, this is what university is supposed to be like and I am enjoying it while I still have it.

9 – I am fascinated by bellydancing. The fact that some individuals have so much control of various parts of their body simply amazes me. Up until a year ago, I could not use my seat to ask a horse to canter, let alone achieve a decent score in hula hoops when I played Wii Fit with my friends.

8 – They just called me and told me that I achieved a 93% in my French final for level three. I am definitely ready to start level four immediately!

7 – The horses that are most interesting for me to ride, are the ones with quirks and personality – but only if I am at least 95% sure I can handle it.

6 – In my last riding lesson, I had forgotten to fasten my helmet. The thing that made me realize that it was unfastened was the fact that the pony I was riding bolted, so my helmet fell off. It was a good thing this happened before we started going at the jumps soon after. It would have been dangerous if I had been jumping with my helmet unfastened, especially since I fell at the 1 stride grid when my pony spooked and refused it.

5 – Although I recently got one of those Nokia Supernovas, I can’t get the idea of owning a blackberry out of my mind.

4 – Last week, I dyed my hair (and eyebrows) . And I’ve also been using some bronzer. To my family, I look like a whole new person. But to myself, it doesn’t feel like that much of a change… my hair is starting to look black again.

3 – I started playing Persona 4, but due to not having the time to explore it that much, I feel confused by it.

2 – I recently wrote 16 truths about myself in facebook, but I do not think that I’ve repeated any of them here today.

1 – My attendance for this semester has been absolutely perfect. No sick leaves or anything! I am very proud of myself.
